Problem Statement
- The founder approached us with the idea of developing a vegan marshmallow.
- Our main challenge was to make the marshmallow with the perfect structure without gelatin (Gelatin is the ingredient that gives marshmallows its chewy and foam-like structure), because gelatin is non vegetarian.
Our Role
- R&D and Recipe Formulation: Developed a Proprietary plant-based formula to achieve the perfect marshmallow
- Variant Development: Formulated four distinct SKUs: Dark Dome, Dulcee Dome, Dark Square, and Dulcee Square
- Costing & Manufacturing: Found the correct sourcing partners to get the correct costing, and helped the brand partner with the correct third party manufacturer.
Outcome
India’s first vegan chocolate marshmallow, positioning Hello Mallows as a first-mover in the niche vegan confectionery space.
